We're about tradition. We're about heritage and conservation. We're
about well trained dogs and exceptional reliability. We're about good
manners and incredible food. We're about making your time afield
worth the travel, the expense, and worth the planning. And summing it
up, we're about educating newer people to the sport and art of running
pointers or flushers on wild birds, fly fishing moving or still water,
and knowing about the wildlife that surrounds us while we do just that.
Your Guide
Garret
Booth is a twenty year "transplanted native" of New Hampshire. He is a
Registered Hunting, Fishing and Recreation Guide in both Maine and New
Hampshire. Having previously guided for several very busy game bird
preserves, Garret wanted to refine his approach to both hunting and
guiding, and he's never looked back. In doing so, he has been able to
assess the needs of clients and combine them with an idealistic approach
to personally guided hunts for upland birds, waterfowl, fly fishing and
any other outdoor adventure he finds himself on with clients. On average
Garret is afield every day, all year pursuing waterfowl, upland species,
fish, or mountains as a whole - as a guide or simply afield for his own
satisfaction. In doing so he is in tune with current conditions,
migration status, and the availability of food sources. This enables him
to offer you the most productive enjoyable day afield to maximize your
exposure to what we offer. He has advanced training in CPR and First Aid
methods, a very thorough knowledge of wilderness survival and
orienteering methods, as well as first hand knowledge of nautical
conditions and methods to keep you safe - wherever you go with him.
Cody Boutwell
 Cody
is the backbone of Grey's Outfitting. He's been with us a while, and is
a hard working, knowledgeable, dog training savvy common sense guy that
we trust to train our dogs, and assist us in the training of all our
client's dogs. He's responsible for dog care, conditioning, obedience
and field training, as well as an absolute bird planting and bird care
expert. His age doesn't even come close to his knowledge base when it
comes to dealing with gun dogs. He's intuitive, caring, creative, and
great for our dogs and yours. Thank you Cody!
You'll meet Cody on the
farm if and when you arrive there, so make sure to check in with him if
Garret and/or Nellie aren't available. He'll have an answer to any
question for you!
Our Dogs
We offer you superbly
trained dogs that work well as a team, and
just
as well
individually
with exceptional lineage. Covering both sides of the spectrum, our
current team consists of a Chesapeake Bay Retriever "Dempsey"
an English Pointer "Herb",
Elhew Pointers
"Emiliah" and "Max"
another Elhew, as well as Charlie and Ghillie
- Field Bred English Cocker Spaniel pups. All of our dogs are featured
on their respective pages, so feel free to simply click on each
respective name to review somewhat of a biography on each dog, their
progress, and their accomplishments to date. Also keep in mind that as
the season progresses, their bio's will be updated on a regular basis so
check back soon - we're sure they'd appreciate it, and who knows, with
some perseverance and some luck, you might just recognize Dempsey on
television soon. Additionally, we'd be remiss if we did not mention "Suzie"
the non-hunting pointer. She was a rescue, and is just as important to
us as a dog that hunts.
