We're about tradition.
We're about heritage and conservation. We're about well trained dogs and
exceptional reliability. We're about good manners and exceptional food.
We're about making your time afield worth the travel, the expense, and
worth the planning. And summing it up, we're about educating newer
people to the sport and art of running pointers or flushers on wild
birds, and knowing about the wildlife that surrounds us while we do just
that.
Your Guide
Garret Booth is a twenty
year "transplanted native" of New Hampshire. He is a
Registered Hunting, Fishing and Recreation Guide in both Maine and New
Hampshire. Having previously guided for
several very busy game bird preserves, Garret wanted to refine his
approach to both hunting and guiding, and he's never looked back. In
doing so, he has been able to assess the needs of clients and combine
them with an idealistic approach to personally guided hunts for both
upland birds and waterfowl. On average Garret is afield ninety days per
season pursuing either waterfowl or upland species - as a guide or
simply afield for his own satisfaction. In doing so he is in tune with
current conditions, migration status, and the availability of food
sources. This enables him to offer you the most productive enjoyable day
afield to maximize your exposure to what we offer.
Our Dogs
We do not raise dogs here at Grey's Outfitting. We do
not offer an "endless kennel", nor do we offer "robotic dogs". We offer
you superiorly trained dogs that work well as a team, and
just
as well
individually.
Covering both sides of the spectrum, our current team consists of a
Chesapeake Bay Retriever "Dempsey"
and an English Pointer "Herb".
Both are featured on their respective pages, so feel free to simply
click on either name to review somewhat of a biography on each dog,
their progress, and their accomplishments to date. Also keep in mind
that as the season progresses, their bio's will be updated on a regular
basis so check back soon - we're sure they'd appreciate it, and who
knows, with some perseverance and some luck, you might just recognize
Dempsey on television soon. Additionally, we'd like to welcome our new
English Pointer Suzie to the Grey's Outfitting family.
"Suzie" came to us
this past May after a year of negotiations with a close friend and
hunting preserve owner. We're working with her feverishly to prepare her
for our busy season and in due time, and plenty of love, she'll come
along just fine and be teaming up on Ruffs with Herbie (who's sure to
show her a thing or two about wild birds).
Now, there's
Emiliah The Elhew Pointer. Emiliah is out of
Hampshire Kennels in
Bradford New Hampshire. At one year old, she's already been pointing
quail, pheasant, chukars, grouse, and woodcock. Emiliah was responsible
for some "limit out" grouse hunting in Maine this past December. Visit her page to see
what she's been up to now that her budding career is underway! |
