Garret Booth has been tying flies for twenty years with an emphasis on classic and traditional streamer patterns. Having grown up fishing the “Lakes Region” known for its landlocked salmon fishing – specifically with traditional trolling streamers – Garret is well versed in both the design and assembly of these creative patterns. 

Garret’s work has been published in several on-line fishing websites as well as two hard-cover books. The first, “Guide Flies” featured both saltwater patterns as well as traditional streamers. The second, “Tying Classic Freshwater Streamers” featured his original streamer patterns, one of which has been passed down through generations in his family. Both books were written by David Klausmeyer and published by Countryman Press in Vermont. 

Garret takes great pride in each of his patterns, and each fly that leaves the vice. Great care and attention is paid to conforming to traditional standards yet at the same time, incorporate innovative ideas adopted from modern tying styles and materials.
